Sunday Social Ride – Fat Bike at The Forks

Join us for Sunday Social Ride’s this winter at The Forks. You’ll learn tips for winter riding and enjoy a guided fat bike ride through snow covered urban trails. Basic bike riding skills required. Helmets are mandatory, you can bring one or rent one from us.

$25 includes your guided ride and fat bike rental.

Lights and Sights – Guided Winter Fat Bike Tours

Enjoy a guided winter fat bike tour through downtown’s lights and sights. We plan the routes so all you have to do is ride! Helmets are mandatory so please bring your own or rent one from us.

Tour includes your guided ride, fat bike rental and a warm beverage at Harrisons Coffee Co. all for $30!

Guided Fat Bike Tour at Assiniboine Park

See Assiniboine Park from a brand new perspective! One of The Assiniboine Park Conservancy’s Educators will guide your ride around this Winnipeg icon. Gain insights into the natural world in winter and the human history of the Park as you enjoy some outdoor winter fun on a Fat Tire Bike. This experience combines the best of Kendrick’s Outdoor Adventures and Assiniboine Park into one ride.

Each ride is approximately 60-90 minutes long, and will show off the best highlights the landscape is offering on the day of the ride. Feel free to stay a while after the ride and enjoy a fire, beverage or snack at Cargo Bar or warm up with a visit to The Leaf.

Join us Saturdays with tours starting at 1pm and 3pm on January 18th or 25th and February 1st and 8th.

Southwood Circle – Guided Fat Bike Rides + more!

Join us out at Southwood Circle for guided rides an a groomed fat bike trail! That’s right, we’ve got a groomed fat bike trail to ride right here in the city. Excited yet?

February 13th – 15th, 2025 you’ll have the to opportunity get outside and adventure at no cost! Try fat biking, cross-country skiing with Winnipeg Trails, enjoy bonfire pits, hot cocoa, and more. Learn about the urban community that is to come on the old Southwood Golf Course grounds. Southwood Circle is going to be a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable community and with them, we’re giving you the chance to play outside.

Learn to Winter at The Forks

Discover the joy of winter with our exciting Learn to Winter programming with The Forks. Starting Sunday, January 5, 2025, and running every weekend until the end of February, 2025.

Join us in celebrating our proud winter city, with snowshoeing lessons from us and a variety of other fun free activities at The Forks.

Guided Snowshoe Adventures

Take a guided snowshoe tour through trails less travelled together as a group.  Finish the adventure with a bonfire at FortWhyte Alive or snacks inside The Common at The Forks.  Looking for a tour or experience in another winter location? Contact us and we can come to you.

BEAT THE COLD – 2025

Beat the Cold is an annual triathlon hosted by 1JustCity and TriFactor Triathlon Club where weekend warriors, super athletes and fun-letes will run, bike, and skate in the frigid February weather.​​​ Since 2019, the wildest Winnipeggers have beaten the cold so others don’t have to. This year’s event is February 1, 2025.

Need a bike? We’ve got you covered. Book your bike and pick it up in our market location at The Forks (the old pancake house). Pick up is between 8am – 8:30am with drop off by noon. We’ll even remove the kickstand for you.

Group Bike Tours

Enjoy a private guided tour with your group.  We plan the route so you can enjoy the ride. Various route options available curated to group size, experience, tour time and more.

Fat Biking with Sarah French at FortWhyte Alive

Enjoy a winter fat bike ride with Sarah French and friends through the scenic forest trails of FortWhyte Alive and beyond.

Ride starts at noon, February 19th for approximately 1.5hrs – 2hrs.

Enjoy your ride and then spend time connecting over coffee post ride in the cafe.

Paddle Board Yoga

Take in a paddle board yoga class or buy a pass and enjoy many classes on the water this summer.

Curious about paddle board yoga, want to try something new or maybe you’ve done it before and want to do it again, we can’t wait to see you on the water.

This 75 minute class is structured to allow some paddle time, with the class created to be mindful for all levels to enjoy their time on the water. You can expect some opportunity for challenge though mostly the class is cued up for the experience to enjoy nature and time on the water.

Paddle Board Lessons

Great for those of all skill levels! If it’s your first time, third time or you paddle regularly and you are looking to brush up on your skills.

This 2.5 hour small group sized workshop will get you ready for all your paddling adventures. You will leave this workshop more familiar with SUP equipment, the knowledge of how to paddle in a variety of conditions and settings as well as how to get on and off your board. These lessons cater to you and your needs, with the goal to have a positive experience navigating your time on the water.

2.5 hour workshop | $65

(includes admission to FortWhyte, instructor + equipment for workshop) Must meet regular SUP rental requirements to book.
