From getting adventurers out with their rentals to rental booking management, sanitization, payment collection, managing inquires and everything in between, you’ll be key in delivering quality, consistent adventure experiences.

What we require:

  • Available to work during the week and weekends days and evenings throughout the summer (May long through September, you will be outside a lot). You don’t need to be available for all shifts we will work as a team.
  • Hours available: full-time, part-time
  • Ability to work at our location at FortWhyte Alive, potentially The Forks
  • Cell phone with data to use on shift and be reachable
  • Basic understanding of computers, Squarespace, square, social media applications and computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 150lbs
  • CPR/First Aid is an asset.

Sports and Recreation Leader:

  • Lead and support/supervise the team of Sports and Recreation attendants
  • Communicate with Directors and team regularly
  • Ensure operating sites are opened and ready for the day and site is closed and ready for the next day operations.
  • Provide a superior guest experience and foster a collaborative work environment with the team
  • Help guests with rental bookings using online software platform and in-person, check guests in and ensure they meet rental requirements, ensure waivers are completed, provide equipment safety instructions and rental details etc. and support answering questions from team members regarding any of the onsite processes
  • Provide guided recreation experiences for groups, camps, schools including children and youth that are indigenous and in under represented groups.
  • Manage and maintain equipment on site
  • Opportunity to learn and support social media platforms used by the organization
  • Other skills of benefit – CPR/First Aid courses, social media skills
